Tambunan Rafflesia Information Centre

When I was back to Tambunan around this Mei 2009, I was able to spend some of my time at Tambunan Rafflesia Information Centre. It was quite an interesting thing as I able to visit it and was able to take some picture of that place. For your information, this is an information center that will be open from monday to saturday in the morning and if you are lucky enough, you will be able to visit it in the afternoon.

This place is quite an interesting place. If you want to see Rafflesia with your own eyes, this is amongst the best place in Sabah. Below the Rafflesia Information Centre is the reserve forest and where you can see a living Rafflesia. Anyway in my stop at Tambunan Rafflesia Information Centre, I did not went down to the forest as I am not equipped with Shoe and suitable gadgets for jungle trekking. And so I just take some picture inside to give you some view of this place.

This is some of the pictures taken. If you have some free time, spend your time to go jungle trekking down to the reserve forest. If you came on the right season, then it will be the right time to see some Rafflesia to gloom.

So if you wish to see the biggest flower in the world, why not visit Tambunan Rafflesia Information Centre and get your shoe along with jungle trekking gadgets. Maybe you have the chance to go to see the real Rafflesia and get your beautiful pictures with it.
